Founded in Greater Binghamton in 1981, UHS was formed through the consolidation of three community hospitals. Over the years it has grown to encompass four hospitals, plus long-term care and home care services, and physician practices in Broome and surrounding counties.
With a 6,300-member work force across 60 locations, UHS is the region’s largest employer. UHS medical staff is made up of 636 providers, 435 of whom are members of the affiliated UHS Medical Group.
