Announcing Wexl: Your Coach in the Flow of Work

Dear colleagues,

It is an exciting time at Practicing Excellence.

Like you, we believe developing human capabilities is essential to unlocking excellence in healthcare. That belief has guided our work from the beginning. It is why we have always focused on the people behind the outcomes: the clinicians, leaders, and team members whose daily interactions shape trust, safety, experience, belonging, quality, and performance.

But healthcare is changing rapidly.

Expectations are rising. Work is more complex. Leaders are stretched thinner than ever. Traditional training still matters, but it is no longer enough on its own. Healthcare needs development that reaches people in real time, in real context, and in the flow of work.

That is why we are introducing Wexl: a technology-enabled “coach in your pocket” that scales personalized, on-demand behavioral guidance across the organization, helping people translate learning into improved performance.

The innovation behind Wexl began with our acquisition of Sageful.AI. Since then, we have been scaling our development team and advancing the first phase of that vision: integrating Wexl into the Practicing Excellence app.

Wexl starts with what makes each organization unique. It utilizes organizational priorities and initiatives to inform personalized coaching that helps people connect daily behaviors to the outcomes that matter most, including patient experience, team engagement, leadership development, and clinical excellence.

From there, Wexl turns that context into personalized coaching at scale.

It supports reflection, practice, goal setting, action planning, nudges, and progress tracking, helping people strengthen the behaviors that matter most in the moments that matter most.

It is practical behavioral guidance aligned with the organization’s strategy and tailored to each person’s role, context, and needs.

The value of Wexl is that it creates a new way to support behavior change across healthcare. Every person can receive practical coaching in the flow of work, while leaders gain insight into where behavior change is happening, what success stories are emerging, where it is getting stuck, and what reinforcement is needed.

Over time, these development signals create a new layer of organizational intelligence, helping leaders see how strategy, culture, and daily behavior are connecting across the entire workforce of clinicians, staff, and leaders.

Wexl is future-focused, but its purpose is deeply human: to help every person in healthcare feel more equipped, more connected, and more capable of delivering excellence every day.

We are already having inspiring conversations with members and partners about the next phases of our product roadmap. We would welcome the opportunity to share where we are headed and, just as importantly, learn from your perspective.

If you’re open to talking, we’d be grateful for the opportunity to connect.

With gratitude,

Gidon Margolin
